Vignette® Modern Roman Shades are available in Stacking and Rolling Styles. The Rolling Style is available in a 4” full fold or a 6” flat fold and rolls up neatly into the headrail. The Stacking Style features a low-profile headrail, perfect for shallow mounting depths. This style is available in a 4” full fold. Both styles maintain a consistent appearance and require very minimal fabric dressing when you are raising or lowering them.

Two Shades in One

Vignette Duolite® Shades have a sheer or light-filtering front panel with a built-in room-darkening back panel housed on a single roller. This allows you to obtain optimal amounts of both light and privacy. The single roller system allows for less mounting depth than traditional dual roller systems and is available in the Rolling Style with 6” flat folds.

Adding Vignette Roman Shades to Your Home

You may be wondering where Roman shades will fit in your home. The short answer? Anywhere. The wide variety of available fabrics and patterns means you can create a Vignette® Modern Roman Shade for any room in your home. However, you will want to take care when choosing Roman shades for kitchens or bathrooms. Traditional fabrics hold on to moisture and are prone to accumulating mold and mildew. Shades in your kitchen will hold on to cooking odors, so you’ll want a material that can be cleaned relatively often.

Fabrics such as silk will prominently display moisture damage. Choose 100% cotton or cotton blends for these rooms as they are easy to clean. If you’re set on a certain fabric for your kitchen or bathroom, take note that using bold prints is an easy way to cover any moisture damage.

Choosing Colors

Choosing colors that contrast with colors in your existing decor is one of the easiest ways to ensure your shades will blend well with the room. Light or medium-weight fabrics tend to look best in rooms that are informal. If you have your heart set on heavy fabric, try creating a shade in a medium fabric, then add decorative accents made of the heavy-weight fabric. Roman shades are also an easy way to add a splash of color to an otherwise monochromatic color scheme. Bathrooms tend to have a lot of whites and grays and can create an unsettling look. Use Vignette Roman shades to add a fun pop of colors and liven up the room.

Caring for Roman Shades

Since Roman shades are very similar to drapes, you can clean them in a similar way. Using your vacuum’s brush attachment is an easy way to remove surface dust and debris. Start with the fold closest to the top, and gently vacuum in a downward direction. You want to vacuum in the same direction for the whole shade to maintain the way the fibers lay. Vacuuming in more than one direction will give you a half flat, a half fluffy result, which is anything but attractive.
