Shades on Your Schedule
Your smart blinds operate independently and can be scheduled to open and close when it’s most convenient for you. Set individual Scenes for your motorized blinds using the PowerView® App on your Apple or Android smartphone or tablet. You can even use your location to schedule your Scenes to open your smart blinds at sunrise and close them at sunset. There’s nothing quite like watching the sun come up on the Gulf, and you’ll again have to leave bed to close your blinds at night again.
Increased Energy Efficiency
Today, more than ever, it’s important to conserve our planet’s resources. You can easily do your part for Mother Nature (and your utility costs) by scheduling your motorized blinds to close at midday during warmer months to keep out warm air. On the same note, you can have your smart blinds open at midday during the cold times of the year to let natural sunlight warm your home.
PowerView® Programming
The PowerView® system integrates seamlessly with most smart-home systems to allow for the voice-activated operation of your smart blinds. You can set your motorized blinds to open and close using an Amazon Alexa command, Apple’s Siri® on Apple HomeKit®, or Google Assistant™ using Google Home™.
The PowerView® Hub connects to your home’s WiFi, storing settings and serving as a central point of control for your motorized blinds. The Hub is also how you can enable the use of the PowerView® App to set and activate Scenes. Once you have enabled your Hub and downloaded the app you can enable the Remote Connect™ feature. This tool allows you to log in to your PowerView® system to control your smart blinds from anywhere in the world via the Internet. With this feature, you can also make your home appear as though it is occupied even when you are away. You can ensure the strength of the PowerView® system by using The Repeater. This device discreetly plugs into most home outlets and extends the signal to your PowerView® smart blinds. It also provides customized lighting for day and night via its illumination feature.
The Pebble® Remote is a great option if you prefer using a device specifically designed for use with your PowerView® system. A contemporary twist on the classic remote control, it can operate up to six different window treatments in your home. The “Favorite” button allows you to create and set a favored position for each motorized blind the Pebble® controls. If you often find yourself misplacing your remote you can opt for the wall-mounted Pebble® Surface. An additional option for controlling your motorized blinds when your smartphone or tablet is not on hand is the Scene Controller. This device works with the Hub and App to activate Scenes you have previously created and saved.
PowerView® Automation is available on 22 types of Hunter Douglas window treatments. Most are battery-powered and have a projected battery life of approximately three years depending on the size of your system and its use. A low-voltage, hardwired option is also available for larger systems. Whether you’re putting motorized blinds in a single room or your entire home there is a power option that will be a fit for you.
